Last year, we said goodbye to Don — a valued member of our team and a familiar face on the road for many years. As a delivery driver, Don wasn’t just getting signage from A to B; he represented everything we stand for: reliability, dedication, and pride in doing the job properly.
To honour his contribution, we’ve named our new van after him, proudly displaying the personal registration plate DG75 DON.
Earlier this week, the team came together to raise a cup of Yorkshire Tea in Don’s memory — a fitting tribute for someone who was such a big part of our day-to-day work.
Daniel Casey commented:
“I will be forever grateful for the commitment Don gave to Sapphire over the years. He was incredibly reliable and well liked by everyone he delivered to. I think he just about covered the length and breadth of the UK during his time with us — including a very important delivery to Bournemouth of a Panda fancy dress outfit!”
It was truly a pleasure to have Don as part of the team. Paying tribute to him was important to us — a simple gesture, but one that ensures his name remains very much part of Sapphire, always.
